The Top Ten Finalists have been announced! This year’s panel of judges included 5 noted retailers and retail designers: Paul Filek (Principal, Burdifilek), Michael Totzke (Editor, Canadian Interiors Magazine), Vanessa Fong (Architect, RAW), Dolores Kroupis (Manager, Store Concepts, Shoppers Drug Mart), and Bruce Smith (Vice President, DMD Retail Design). The judges worked closely together to narrow down the submissions to ten finalists:

“IRON HEEL” by Alette De Jonge of Fanshaw College
“reFINERY” by Douglas Caldwell of Fanshaw College
“Natalee Mae” by Jamie Braniff of Fanshaw College
“JUMP” by Cortney Largeof Fanshaw College
“onix” by Sarah Ruby Roppof Fanshaw College
“UNBOUND” by Tamarisk McNalty Stephensof Fanshaw College
“PROJECT VELOX” by Ashley Barson of Fanshaw College
“NOTABLE SHOES” by Dora Car of Fanshaw College
“MADISON’S” by Reid Coray Mitchell of Fanshaw College
The top ten finalist submissions and their storyboards will be featured alongside an extraordinary scent display created by Nose Knows Design, which will demonstrate how smell strongly affects consumer behaviour. An award ceremony will also take place on Thursday, September 20 at 11:00 AM on the keynote stage.
